Warranty Policy — Terms and Conditions
Australia, New Zealand & Pacific Islands Region - Effective Date: 01/07/2026
1. Overview
This document sets out ZAGG’s Warranty Policy for Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands and should be read in conjunction with the Warranty Policy table on the preceding page. This policy applies to eligible purchases made through ZAGG.com, ZAGG-APAC.com, or authorised ZAGG retailers within the covered regions. This policy has been developed to comply with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), including the prescribed requirements for warranties against defects under section 102 of the ACL and regulation 90 of the Competition and Consumer Regulations 2010 (Cth), and with the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA). Nothing in this Warranty Policy limits, excludes or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under the ACL, the CGA, or any other applicable consumer protection law. Consumers in Australia and New Zealand are entitled to the statutory rights and remedies provided under those laws in addition to the benefits provided by this Warranty Policy.
2. Statutory Consumer Rights — Australia and New Zealand
Australia — Australian Consumer Law (ACL) Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
New Zealand — Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA) Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (New Zealand). You are entitled to a replacement, repair or refund where goods fail to comply with the guarantees provided under the Act, together with compensation for any reasonably foreseeable loss or damage resulting from that failure, as provided by the Act.
Nothing in this Warranty Policy limits, excludes or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, or any other applicable consumer protection law. Where a claim is made under ZAGG’s voluntary manufacturer’s warranty (and not under a statutory consumer guarantee), ZAGG may, at its option and to the extent permitted by applicable law, repair, replace, exchange or refund the product in accordance with the terms of this Warranty Policy.
3. Policy and Warranty Applicability
30-Day Return Policy - No Questions Asked is a separate returns policy and is not part of the manufacturer’s warranty. Eligible products may be returned within 30 days of purchase in accordance with the terms of the return policy, without the customer being required to establish that the product is defective.
The 1-Year, 2-Year, 3-Year Manufacturer’s Warranty and Limited Lifetime Warranty cover defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. This standard aligns with the consumer guarantees relating to acceptable quality under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA). To provide greater clarity, references to “wear and damage to product” have been removed from all manufacturer warranty tiers. This wording was considered ambiguous and did not accurately reflect the intended scope of warranty coverage.
4. One-Year and Three-Year Manufacturer’s Warranty
ZAGG warrants that these products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of ONE (1) YEAR or THREE (3) YEARS, as applicable, from the date of the Purchaser’s original retail purchase. This manufacturer’s warranty applies only to defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. It does not cover normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage that does not affect product functionality, accidental damage, misuse, abuse, neglect, improper installation, operation outside the product’s intended use, unauthorised modification or alteration, unauthorised repair, or damage caused by external events or loss. To make a warranty claim, the Purchaser must register the product at ZAGG-APAC.com (where applicable), provide valid proof of purchase, provide any information reasonably requested by ZAGG to assess the claim, provide a valid credit card number (where required), and return the defective product to ZAGG in accordance with the warranty claim process. If a valid warranty claim is made during the applicable warranty period, ZAGG will, at its sole discretion:
- repair the product;
- replace the product with the same product or an equivalent product of equal or greater value; or
- refund the purchase price where repair or replacement is not reasonably available.
At ZAGG’s discretion, any replacement product may be new or refurbished. A replacement product will be covered for the remainder of the original warranty period or ninety (90) days from the date of replacement, whichever is longer. For Purchasers located in ANZ, ZAGG will pay the shipping costs to return the original product to ZAGG. For Purchasers located outside the ANZ, the Purchaser is responsible for the cost of returning the original product to ZAGG. Unless otherwise required by applicable law, the Purchaser is responsible for the shipping and handling costs of the replacement product. If ZAGG provides an advance replacement and the original product is not returned within sixty (60) days, ZAGG reserves the right to charge the Purchaser’s nominated credit card the full retail price of the replacement product.
5. 2-Year Manufacturer's Warranty
This manufacturer’s warranty applies to Glass+ Screen Protection products and ISOD (InvisibleShield On Demand) products and covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for 730 days (2 years) from the date of the original retail purchase. Where a valid claim is made under this manufacturer’s warranty, ZAGG may, at its option and to the extent permitted by applicable law, repair, replace, or exchange the product with the same product or an equivalent product of equal or greater value, or refund the original purchase price if repair or replacement is not reasonably available. Shipping and handling charges may apply. To make a warranty claim, the product must be returned with valid proof of purchase to the original place of purchase. If the original retailer is unable to process the warranty claim or provide a replacement, the customer should submit a warranty claim through ZAGG-APAC.com.
6. Limited Lifetime Warranty
Applies to selected ZAGG and InvisibleShield branded products, including Glass Elite screen protection, XTR screen protection, and all ZAGG cases. InvisibleShield UV Sanitizer products are excluded from this warranty. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for as long as the original purchaser owns the original device (for device-specific products), or for as long as the original purchaser owns the product (for all other eligible products).
7. What Is Not Covered
The following are not covered under ZAGG’s manufacturer’s warranties:
- Damage caused by abuse, misuse, neglect, incorrect installation of screen protection products (including misalignment, contamination from dust or debris, air bubbles, cracking, chipping, or other damage occurring during the installation process), flood, fire, or earthquake.
- Damage resulting from use outside the product’s intended purpose or contrary to the product instructions.
- Damage caused by unauthorised service, modification, or repair.
- Cosmetic damage that does not affect the functionality of the product.
- Normal wear and tear.
Products purchased directly from ZAGG.com or ZAGG-APAC.com may be eligible for return under ZAGG’s 30-Day Return Policy, provided they satisfy the terms and conditions of that policy. Eligibility under the 30-Day Return Policy is separate from, and does not extend, the coverage provided under ZAGG’s manufacturer’s warranties.
8. Warranty Program Scope — Device Damage Exclusion
This manufacturer's warranty is a voluntary warranty program and operates separately from the statutory consumer rights described in Section 2. Nothing in this Warranty Policy limits, excludes, or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law, the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, or any other applicable consumer protection law. This manufacturer's warranty applies only to the applicable ZAGG or mophie product. It does not provide cover for any mobile phone, tablet, computer, wearable device, or other equipment used in conjunction with a ZAGG or mophie product. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, this manufacturer's warranty does not cover:
- Damage to an underlying device, including cracked displays, internal component damage, cosmetic damage, or any other physical damage, whether or not such damage occurs in connection with the use or failure of a ZAGG or mophie product.
- Loss of data, loss of use, loss of business, loss of profits, or any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage.
- Damage to an underlying device that would reasonably have occurred regardless of whether a ZAGG or mophie product was installed or in use.
ZAGG and mophie products are designed to provide an additional level of protection or functionality, depending on the product, and may help reduce the risk of damage arising from everyday use. They are not designed or represented as guaranteeing that an underlying device will be protected from damage in all circumstances or events.
9. Submitting a Warranty Claim
To make a warranty claim, customers should first return the product, together with valid proof of purchase, to the original place of purchase. If the original retailer is unable to assess or fulfil the warranty claim, customers should submit a warranty claim through ZAGG-APAC.com. Customers are required to provide product information, proof of purchase, photographs of the product, or other information reasonably requested by ZAGG to assess the claim. Unless otherwise required by applicable law, customers are responsible for the cost of returning the product for warranty assessment. A shipping and handling fee of AUD $20.00 (or the applicable local currency equivalent) applies to replacement products dispatched by ZAGG.
ZAGG’S MANUFACTURER’S WARRANTIES APPLY ONLY TO GENUINE ZAGG AND MOPHIE PRODUCTS AND DO NOT EXTEND TO ANY THIRD-PARTY PRODUCTS, ACCESSORIES, SOFTWARE, OR DEVICES USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THOSE PRODUCTS. THIS MANUFACTURER’S WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY WHERE THE PRODUCT HAS BEEN MODIFIED, ALTERED, OR REPAIRED BY ANYONE OTHER THAN ZAGG OR AN AUTHORISED SERVICE PROVIDER, EXCEPT WHERE SUCH MODIFICATION OR REPAIR HAS NOT CONTRIBUTED TO THE DEFECT THAT IS THE SUBJECT OF THE WARRANTY CLAIM. ZAGG RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE OR REJECT A WARRANTY CLAIM WHERE THERE IS REASONABLE EVIDENCE OF FRAUD, MISUSE, ABUSE OF THE WARRANTY PROGRAM, OR WHERE THE CLAIM DOES NOT SATISFY THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS WARRANTY POLICY. THE BENEFITS PROVIDED UNDER THIS MANUFACTURER’S WARRANTY ARE IN ADDITION TO THOSE STATUTORY RIGHTS AND REMEDIES. IF ANY PROVISION OF THIS WARRANTY POLICY IS FOUND TO BE UNLAWFUL, VOID, OR UNENFORCEABLE, THAT PROVISION WILL BE SEVERED, AND THE REMAINING PROVISIONS WILL CONTINUE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
ZAGG RESELLERS, AGENTS OR EMPLOYEES ARE NOT AUTHORIZED TO MODIFY OR EXTEND ZAGG’S WARRANTIES. ZAGG RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CHANGE WARRANTY TERMS AND REMEDIES WITHOUT NOTICE.
The benefits conferred by these warranties are in addition to other rights you may have depending on your country, state or province of residence. Furthermore, some countries, states and provinces do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or exclusions or limitations on the duration of implied warranties, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. If any provision of these warranties is unlawful, void or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect any remaining provisions.
